Client’s Rights

You are entitled to be treated with courtesy and respect by your attorney at all times.

You are entitled to a attorney who is competent, prompt and diligent in handling your matter and maintains communication with you keeping you informed as to the progress of your case. In the event you are not satisfied with the handling of your matter, you may withdraw from the attorney-client relationship at any time. (You should understand that your attorney will expect to be paid for services rendered prior to your withdrawal.)

You are entitled to privacy in your dealings with your attorney; the attorney-client privilege shall extend to all of your dealings to the extent permitted by the Rules of Professional Conduct.

You are entitled to zealous representation by and the undivided loyalty of your attorney uncompromised by conflicts of interest.

You are entitled to be charged a reasonable fee and to have your attorney explain exactly how that fee is to be computed prior to your establishing your relationship and incurring fees. You are entitled to receive a written agreement with your attorney stating the scope of services to be rendered on your behalf and written line item invoices for your records detailing all fees and expenses.

You are entitled to your attorney answer your questions in sufficient way that you can understand. You are entitled to have any and all documents clearly explained to you and to receive complete answers to any questions those explanations may cause before you are asked to sign your name.

You are entitled be kept fully informed as to the status of your matter so that you may participate meaningfully in its progress and make all decisions affecting its outcome.

You are entitled to have your attorney conduct herself ethically in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct.
